It comes from German Nordobert, made up of northa (“strength”), or maybe north, and berta (distinguished, famous): therefore it means “distinguished for his strength” or “famous in the North”.
Norberto is serious, strict and rather unsociable; he likes a quiet., secluded existence; not greatly passionate and quite reserved.

He has a gift for maths and science.
